The dreaded back seats are about to get a little more comfortable.

For the first time since the new Beetle re-launched in 1998 the iconic automobile will get a big improvement to a normally tiny space. The next-generation Beetle will have bigger back seats and better packaging

The rear seats of the current Beetle is best suited for small children. That’s to be expected in most two-door vehicle with rear seating. Nevertheless, the cramped rear seat is one of the most-complained-about aspects of the Beetle. An updated Beetle has been a long time coming and will hopefully prove to be a successful venture for VW.

The new Beetle is sure to appeal to a wider audience with more back seat legroom.
